Stress.. One of our biggest weaknesses as humans. Many of us get stressed over work and life whether it’s noticeable or not it’s always there. Here are my top 3 tips for dealing with stress and anxiety (from someone who suffers with severe anxiety).

Can’t say no to a puppy yoga session
Yoga/Workouts

Since starting yoga over 2 years ago I have found a way to connect with my emotions and body through many Yin Yang and stretch and relax classes over the years. These weekly classes keep me in check on how I’m feeling and give me time to remember not to stress over the little things sometimes. Occasionally I like to spice it up with a Hotpod yoga session on a Saturday with the lovely Rachel who never fails to give me a good workout with her ‘Spicy’ sessions as she likes to call them. I come out of the pod feeling fully refreshed and ready for the day.
After recently starting my fitness and wellness journey (you can read more about that here) I have found a morning home Pilates workout every morning helps me think more clearly and sets me up for the day. This especially helps on those weekdays creating a space for myself to relax before a busy work day ahead.
Reading

As a kid reading was my escape, being whisk away into another world always made me feel so safe and stress free. As we get older we don’t take as much time to use our imagination this way so when I first started reading again recently I made sure to make time to read a minimum of one chapter everyday. Whether these are wellness and self help books to a funny fiction here is a list of some of my favourite reads over the last 2 month:
- The Diary of a CEO: The 33 laws of Business and Life by Steven Bartlett
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
- Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella
- The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

Music
Who doesn’t love a mini concert with just themself and your favourite music! from chilled morning vibes to a full on party in the Kitchen, music is personally my favourite way to destress (Coming from the girl who has learned a 10 hour playlist of by heart unintentionally) that shows how often this has helped me to deal with stress and fully fledged panic attacks.

So there you have it, only a few of my favourite ‘techniques’ for dealing with anxiety. I created this blog to share my personal experiences and hope that these tips can help you too.
Your blog has become a daily supply of inspiration for me.
